what you wanna do is take tape and mark your wires as you pull them off the spark plug only and one at a time (the tape is there just in case you knock another one off) along the drivers side of the engine from front to rear is as follows 1,3,5,7 with wires marked pull #1 wire off plug and with proper size (spark plug socket) and 3/8 drive ratchet begin to go left with the socket and plug. take old out put the new back in and put the wire back ont to the new plug repeat for all cylinders. the passenger side is 2,4,6,8 from front to rear just do the same procedure on that side with all wires taped its pretty easy good luck
how do i change the spark plugs on a Chevy silverado 1500
yes. if they are original.
I know how to replace the plugs, but what do you have to take off on the fairing to get to the plugs. Thanks steve
To change spark plugs on a 5.9 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, locate the old spark plugs. These are located at the end of the 8 wires inside the vehicle's bonnet. Remove the old spark plugs and replace with new.
I`M HAVING A HARD TIME REMOVING SPARK PLUG WIRES ON MY 2002 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500 6.0. ANY TIPS?
Replace the spark plugs and plug wires.
Try warming up the engine. or let soak with penetrating fluid.
If they are a standard type spark plug I would pull them at 50K. If they are the platinum type they will go for 100K.
If you haven't already,Try replacing the plug wires and spark plugs and regap the plugs to factory spec.
If it is a Hemi - it has 16 Spark Plugs if it is a regular 8 cylinder it has 8 Spark Plugs
It has 16 spark plugs. The upper plugs and lower plugs are different part numbers.
2008 and before has 8 plugs. 2009 and up has 16 spark plugs.
