Remove the panel behind the latch then remove the clip from the lock and it comes right out, it isn't connected to any mechanism inside the tailgate.

with the key lock and unlosk the front doors or the lift gate on the rear.
If it's the lock itself and not the latch, you might as well replace the lock.
It is not possible to replace the trunk lock on a 1993 Caprice Classic while the trunk is closed. A person will have to remove the back seat, crawl into the trunk and open the lock manually before it can be replaced.
Mine was missing the knob for opening it, I bought a new one from www.rockauto.com and replaced it, there are two to chose from, I bought the cheap one and it was a complete unit with keys. You have to remove the inner panel from the tail gate to get access to the lock then remove the clip holding it in and replace it with the new one.
if there is not a key hole you cannot lock it.
The gate code for lock box in Tyler Texas is not static, it is dynamic.

It might be that something has gone wrong with the physical power lock button in the car - the remote will continue to operate the power lock in that case. (Also, please accept my condolences, as a former Blazer owner, for having to be involved with a Blazer.)
They cannot break the lock on a gate to get in but they can open the gate if it is unlocked.
This is generally a job for a locksmith. You can't "cut" the lock on a door or gate to get in and replace it like you can with a padlock or combination lock. It costs a bit of money to have someone come out to your house, but unless you can get the whole mechanism off the gate or door, you'll have to have a pro come out to handle the job. (If you can get to the "back" or "operating" side of the lock and remove it, you can take the whole thing in to a locksmith and get a key made for a lot less than having a technician come out.) Oh, and when you get things squared away, get an extra key or two and have them strategically placed for this kind of emergency. Good luck.
