The thermostat for both the 3S-GTE (2.0T) and 5F-SE (2.2NA) are located on the front of the block next to the oil filter. For the turbo, you have to remove the air intake connectors from the turbo to the intercooler and from the intercooler to the throtle body. If you have the stock intercooler and fan, the fan may need to be removed so that you have enough clearence to get to the A/C. It also shows removing the cruise control assembly. I uauslly just unbolt it from the side (3 bolts) and flip it onto the valve cover. For both engines, you need to remove the under side plastics, the A/C compressor, idle pulley and associated belt. Don't disconnect the refrigerant line that goes to the A/C, just move the A/C to the side. I have seccusfully tied it to the brace that is directly underneath the A/C (small black tube that runs diagonal on the turbo model) Don't forget to drain the coolant before disconnecting any coolant hoses/fixtures. On both engines the drian is located on the back side of the block, near one of the intake manifold brackets. The turbo also has a bolt going to the thermostat cover that supports the oil dipstick. don't forget to replace that when you wrap thing up.
The thermostat is located in the water pump behind the timing belt plate cover. the thermostat is in the bottom rad hoase where it conects to the motor.
On a 1993 Toyota Camry Vienta, the thermostat can be easily located by following the lower radiator hose to the point where it attaches to the engine. When replacing the thermostat, always replace gaskets as well.
The thermostat on a 1993 Toyota Celica can be found by following the outlet radiator hose. The thermostat on these cars are located at the bottom of the radiator.

1992 Lexus es300 wear the thermostat is located
Almost all thermostats are located at the motor where the top radiator hose connects to the motor. Drain the coolant, remove the 2 bolts in the thermostat housing, replace the thermostat, and replace the housing and refill the radiator.
my 1993 Toyota Camry radiator had a hole in it it was overheating. I replaced the radiator. The car is still overheating where is the thermostat located. First, drain your coolant from the radiator. Find your lower radiator hose and follow it to the metal housing. This is the thermostat housing. Remove the 2 nuts with a 10mm wrench. Remove the thermostat and replace with new one and new gasket. Re-install and re-fill your radiator with new coolant. Drive the car with heater running. Allow the engine to cool and top off the radiator. Add coolant to the reservoir to halfway between Full and Low.
At the top end of the lower radiator hose within the water outlet. I hope this helps you. Rob

Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. Should be right there. the answer here is incorrect... the thermostat is near the water pump in the housing close to the lower hose...
The thermostat is at tje engine end of the upper rad hose, When replacing it make sure the spring goes toward the engine.
