the thermostat is located under the car just follow the big lower radiator hose to the motor and its right there
True-- thermostat is located inside the engine part (water pump) where the lower hose attaches to the engine. Be careful with the bolts, use penetrating oil, you do not want to break one. Try to use a Subaru thermostat and gasket-- expensive, but cheaper than an overheated engine, most places do not stock the required thermostat, being an oddball temperatiue (167F), putting in a "regular 195F" thermostat WILL cook your engine. The gasket is really an O-ring affair-- it works nicely. Try not to re-use the old O ring gasket.
what is the cost to fix an overheating Subaru Legacy Wagon. Is it the thermostat? How much are they to replace?
bottom radiator hose
it's underneath ^^ no kidding you idiot. the question is how to change, not where is it?
bottom -front of block, follow the lower rad hose to it.
thermostat should be located behind lower radiator hose, engine side. it is located low as most are located high. can you give me a picture
It is located by the bottom radiator hose instead of being on the top it is at the bottom
Its under the engine, on the drivers side. Two bollts, you cant miss it.
it is in front of the engine block under the water pump kinda low on the engine
