How do you reprogram the keyless remot for a 2004 Mazda rx 8?

1. Sit in the driver's seat with the door closed. and the key OUT of the ignition. Open the driver's door.

2. Step 2 (complete this step in LESS THAN 24 seconds)
3. Inasert your key into the ignition. Toggle the key from "Lock" to "On" three times - (dont actually start the engine) Close and open the driver's door three times, ending with the door in the open position.
4. Step 3 (with the door still open)

   Press the "Unlock" button on the new remote twice; listen for the door lock to cycle. Remove the key from the ignition. Programming is complete

This REALLY does work and it will work with any remote as long as it is the correct type for your car. I used a second hand remote (that had already been programmed to a DIFFERENT Mazda RX8!!!!) and it worked right away. Make sure you follow the instructions EXACTLY. It does work if you do it right.
