Most OEM Mazda headunits use one of the following three types of procedures: Find the one that matches your headunit, and it should fix your issue:
Type One:
To determine if this radio has been set with an antitheft user code, remove battery power from it for at least 45 seconds. When battery power is restored with no user code set, the radio's operation is immediately restored. If a code is set "code" flashes in the radio's display.
When "code" flashes in the radio's display after battery power is restored, and you know your antitheft user code, the radio's operation can be restored by following your Owner's Manual "If Antitheft system is Activated" procedure. If you don't know your antitheft user code, or to remove one previously set, follow the same procedure three times entering an invalid 1 to 4-digit user code each time. Once an invalid 1 to 4-digit user code is entered three times, "err" flashes in the radio's display. When flashing "err" displays, the radio is now set to accept the following re-set procedure.
Press the # 1 button
Press Stop/Eject
Press Am/Fm
Press Clock Button
-- -- -- -- Will appear.
Enter code 4 9 8 9
Press F/Forward & Reverse at the same time and hold for a couple seconds.
The code should now be removed. Follow the instructions in your manual to set a new code.
Type Two:
Press "Track/Tune/Rew/FF" Button (side with the symbol V)
Press the "FM 1/2" button
Press the "Auto Memo" button
Press the "Tape" button
This should give you the "- - - -"
Using preset buttons (1-4) Enter the code "5011"
Simultaneously press "Track/Tune/Rew/FF" Button (side with the symbol V) and the "Auto Memo" buttons and hold.
The display should read "Good"
Type Three:
To determine if this radio has been set with an antitheft user code, remove battery power from it for at least 10 seconds. When battery power is restored with no user code set, the radio's operation is immediately restored. If a code is set "code" flashes in the radio's display.
When "code" flashes in the radio's display after battery power is restored, and you know your antitheft user code, the radio's operation can be restored by following your Owner's Manual "System activation" procedure. If you don't know your antitheft user code, or to remove one previously set, follow the same procedure three times entering an invalid 1 to 4-digit user code each time. Once an invalid 1 to 4-digit user code is entered three times, "err" flashes in the radio's display. When flashing "err" displays, the radio is now set to accept the following reset procedure.
Press Scan
Press AM/FM
Press Prog/Auto M.
Press FForward
This should give you the "- - - -"
Enter 4 9 8 9
Press Prog/Auto M. first, then press Scan (Hold both buttons down at the same time and make sure to follow this order. If you reverse the order it will not work.)
The display should now read "Good" The radio should now work again.
You should have gotten a card that has the anti-theft code when you bought the car. If you dont have the code then you'll have to go to your dealer to have them reset it or provide you the code.
Disconnect your battery, reconnect, voila.

Open the Driver Information System cover. Press the RCL button until the low oil pressure message is displayed. Next press the "Reset" button and hold it in until "Reset" is displayed in the window. Once "Reset" is displayed press the enter button and the error message will be deleted. This may take more than one attempt to reset the error message.
Unplug the baterry, press brake for 20sec, done :)

On the falcon's in OZ, the error usually appears after entering an incorrect security code. To make the error disappear I believe u need to have the stereo running for 20 minutes and then it will allow you to re-enter your security code.
