The dealer can do it, but there is a way you can do it. Turn the key on without starting the car. wait 10 minutes, I like to wait 11 to be sure. turn off. wait 5 seconds. repeat 2 more times. then turn off and start car. 98 Malibu, Grand am, Cutlass, Alero only takes 1 - 10 minute cycle.
