The horn on a 1997 Toyota Rav 4 can be replaced. To replace it located the horn on the inside of the bumper. Loosen the mounting bolts and unplug the wiring. Replace the unit.

To change fan belt on a Rav 4, remove the bolt in front of the engine. Loosen the pulley and gently pull away the fan belt. Replace with new.?æ
Wear safety goggles and disconnect battery terminals from battery. Remove serpentine belt, then remove all electric connectors and bolts securing alternator. Replace with new part and re-install all electric connectors and bolts securing it. Re-connect battery terminals and your done.
At first it seems tricky to find the battery, but when u open the hood, the battery is cased with a plastic cover over it on the left side closest to the windshield. Unsnap the plastic cover that protects the battery.
According to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) For the 2.0 litre four cylinder engine in a 1997 Toyota RAV 4 ( 60,000 miles )
there is no distributor on a 98 rav. therefore no cap or rotor. replace the plugs and wires and the tuneup is done
You need a code reader to reset it or go to a shop and get it reset. Average $20 however, if you don't fix the problem why the check engine light came on in the first place it will only come back on again.
