all preludes as far as i know have an engine management computer under the front passenger carpet. this computer can diagnose problems by emitting a code from a flashing led. this computer can be reset by removing the clock fuse from the fuse box under the bonnett for 10 to 15 seconds. this SHOULD reset all/any electrical glitches If your speaking of the light that changes from green,to yellow, to red, there is a small trigger to the right of the indicater that you can use your ignition key to press it in. or very simple unplug the battery cable for 10min, it can reset itself.
The maintenance required indicator is a reminder to change your oil. If you reset it (refer to owners manual) each time you change you oil, then supposedly based on how you drive it the car will tell you to when to change the oil. just a service indicator - probably an oil change reminder. on my 92 accord there was a little reset button near it (small and needing a pen or something to push it) to make it go away.
Get your oil changed, and have the service reminder reset.
reminder to change oil you can reset it by inserting your key its actually pretty useless
No, the third and fourth generation are a different Chassis.
As long as both are 4th gen (92-96) it will fit.
The 1994 Honda Prelude is best run with 91 octane fuel or higher. The vehicle is designed for use with high octane fuel.
A 1994 Honda Prelude S would not have a VTEC engine in it (assuming it has the original engine in it). It should have the F22A1 in it which is SOHC and Non-VTEC.
If it is 1994; 1995 you can unplug the main (starter) battery of the car for few minutes, but after you do that you need the code for the CD player - you can call Mercedes for the code.
