It depends on the year. If its 99 or later chances are you'll need a local dealer to amend it.
It does.
Reset vw beattle
When the car is serviced by a VW garage the ECU (computer brain of the car) is hooked up to computer and would be reset then, i presume you've serviced car yourself so besides learning to hook your ECU to your PC I would ignore until your next major service and have that done with VW mechanic.
There is nothing to "reset" for the 1999 VW Beetle.
When your car is serviced at a non-vw garage or at home by yourslef, the ecu doesnt know its had a service, so the service indicator stays on. To reset it: -(with the ignition off and keys out) press and hold the mile reset button -turn ignition on -wait until the display goes like '--' -turn ignition off and keys out and release button
How many Litres of oil does WV polo 1.2 need
Press and hold Reset button which is the button immediately below the speedometer. Switch the ignition on and keep the button depressed until "---" appears in the display. Release the button and switch the ignition off. If required clear the "OIL" indication from the display in the same way.
