1996 ford thunderbird pcm power relay location?
The pcm computer is mounted on the firewall on a 2000 Ford Ranger. It is on the passenger side under the hood.
On a 1997 Ford Ranger : The PCM location should be the same as on my 1995 Ford EXPLORER ( if you look in the engine compartment at the firewall you should see where the wiring harness is bolted to one end of the PCM , it is towards the passenger side of the vehicle , and most of the PCM is " hidden " behind the glove compartment )
the pcm is located along the upper edge of the firewall in the engine compartment..
On a 2001 Ford Ranger : In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment , on the drivers side ( the # 54 relay is the relay for the Powertrain Control Module / PCM )
If it is like the 1996 Ford EXPLORER : On the Powertrain Control Module ( PCM ) Looking in the engine compartment , at the firewall , towards the passenger side of the vehicle . You can see where the wiring harness is bolted to one end of the PCM as it passes through the firewall . Most of the PCM is " hidden " behind the glove compartment area .
In a 1995 Ford Ranger : If it is the same as my 1995 Ford EXPLORER , the Powertrain Control Module ( PCM ) passes through the firewall One end of the PCM can be seen from the engine compartment , where the wiring harness is bolted to it and most of the PCM is " hidden " behind the glove compartment area
Electrical power to your Powertrain Control Module ( PCM ) ( I believe if you look in the engine compartment you will see one end of the PCM as it passes through the firewall , it has the wiring harness bolted to it , just below the base of the windshield ) Most of the PCM is " hidden " behind the glove compartment
On a 2004 Ford Ranger ( for the 3.0 and 4.0 liter V6 engines ) In the power distribution box ( which is " live " ) in the engine compartment ( # 47 is the PCM relay ) ( # 48A is the fuel pump relay )
disconect the battery for more than a minute
