how can i reset rear brake pad warning light on 2006 bmw 525i
my jaguar xtype is beeping, and now my brake lights don't work when my headlights are on. Do I need to replace a fuse or reset the rear sensor? Thanks Jasmin-
Replace the brake sensor then the message will go away. When you saw the message the sensor is already bad so it need to be replaced along with the brake pads. You don't need to replace front and rear sensors at the same time. Any of them has the pads wearing too much (usually in the rear because Mercedes cars drive by the rear), that where the sensor need to be replaced. There is no electronic reset for brake pad wear message.
reset brake wear display on dash board after changed rear disk brake ?
Try taking the battery cable loose. That works for a lot of cars. I've never had any experience with a mercedes. To reset you brake light or any warning on the S430, just hold down the button (a lil black button on the right side on you instrument cluster) and that will do it. The Brake Sensor warning light will reset itself once the vehicle is restarted. Most common problems are 1. You have a bad sensor or 2. You did not replace the brake the sensors were triggering. There are 3 sensors on the S430 One on each front wheel and 1 on the Right Rear Wheel.
That warning light means a light bulb is out. Check all of your brake lights (including the brake light on the rear dash!)
pads
The brake pad sensor light is reset by leaving the key on engine off for about 20sec. If it does not reset retry, if it still does not reset check the wiring of the left front and right rear pad sensors
you have a brake problem and need to have it repaired before you can reset the light sensor you have a brake problem and need to have it repaired before you can reset the light sensor
3rd brake light or rear brake lights?
You might be out of brake fluid. Our rear wheel cylinder was leaking and ran ours out of fluid and the light came on.
you have to by a replacement sensor for your front and rear pads.
