No such switch. Just put the key in the ignition and turn it on, or unlock with the remote.
You will need to remove the retaining ring at the top of your 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan ignition switch. Slide the ignition switch out and remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new ignition switch.
Replacing a steering column ignition switch on a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix is not considered a major repair. The task is considered easy but if done wrong could be dangerous. It is best to refer to vehicle manual for the car to ensure proper direction is given.
change ignition switch and/or tumbler
the Grand Am ignition switch also houses the anti-theft sensor for the "security" light. the switch sensor in my 2000 GA went out a couple of years ago, and it cost a bit over $400 to have it replaced. i'd imagine the 2001 would be about the same.
it is located on the steering column
change the Ignition Lock lock switch
The ignition switch in a 2004 Pontiac grand am can be installed by first Sliding out old lock cylinder and then Press the small release tab While turning the key to the ON Position.
-Faulty ignition switch. Possible to clean contacts on some cars, but ultimatly needs replacing from either parts store or dealer.-Possibly worn key cylnder, too much slop not allowing it to turn ignition switch all the way to start. Most cars require dismantling the steering column, removing airbag and steering wheel with special tool, and possibly drilling out security screws for the switch. Without these precautions, would be much easier for a thief to start the car by bypassing the key cylinder entirely, and turning the switch manually. madshoe83
I don't know how to change the ignition switch but I have some advice. Don't screw with the ignition switch, buy the whole steering column. It will be cheaper and easier to change.
BAttery?, starter? ignition switch?
It's really easy the switch is in the steering colume.
