On a 106 petrol (TU) engine the cam shaft should be located using a 8 mm bolt that will slide through the cam shaft pulley and into a corresponding hole in the cylinder head this will lock the cam shaft in place.

The crank shaft is a little more difficult as you will need a special or modified tool that is approx the same diameter as a 6mm bolt and long enough to slide through the block and into the flywheel (approx 50mm), The hole is located in the front of the engine (same side as the oil filter) on the gearbox end of the block. (you will have to look for this as its not always easy to see behind the dipstick tube). (This hole is in the same position on the diesel models but more difficult to get at)

If this is a diesel model it may be worth taking it to a specialist as the tension of the belt affects the diesel pump and can affect the running and starting of the engine.(Also diesel engines can have internal damage after a cam belt failure)
