Possibly fix the vaccuum leak !!
Maybe need tune up
I have the same problem. I believe the idle air control valve either needs to be cleaned or replaced.
It's located on the Throttle Body and has an electrical connector plugged into it. It can be removed and cleaned with throttle body cleaner if you are having idle/idling, stalling, or surging problems. It is a cylinder shape with a plunger on the working end.
The idle can be adjusted at the throttle body via the two adjustment jam nuts on the cable. Be careful not to pull this to tight as the engine will over rev when on cold starts. Throttle plate stuck?
throttle positioning sensor
goto subaru dealership and have it adjusted by experts.
Check throttle plate in throttle body throat - may be stuck open
There are several things that can cause an engine to quit when you open the throttle. A poorly adjusted carburetor, and poor airflow through the air intake system are two common causes.
Perhaps throttle plate is stuck - try to free with a screwdrive in the throttle body
A failing throttle position sensor will cause idling problems when the car is warm. The failing sensor can also cause the car to stall when idling.
needs a tune-up and the throttle body and injectors cleaned.
