leave the truck parked and borrow a truck from someone. Preferably a ford, chevy, or, a toyota.
front brake pulsation have front rotors replaced
check the bulb again, are BOTH filaments good

The 2001 Ford Explorer rear parking brake is separate from the rear disc brake that stop the vehicle. The rear rotors have a small drum in the inboard side.
A blown fuse can cause the dashlights and taillights to stop working on a 2001 Dodge 1500.
It is on a bracket above the brake pedal. It reads off of the brake pedal.

check your fuses.

Check to see if the brake lights are working shift interlock and stop lights are a common circuit. Try turning the key to 1st (unlock) position shift to neutral to start and then shift to Drive
if you are driving and you go to stop, then that means that the front rotors are warped. if the front rotors are bad, you will feel a pulsation in pedal while applying brakes. change rotors on front.
