take inside door panel off and unbolt outside door handle from the inside.
take the inside door panel off and you will see the bolts that hold the handle on, take the bolts out and unhook any linkage to the handle and pull the handle off from the outside of the door, just reverse directions to install the new handle.
Take off the door panel. the plastic clip that holds the metal rod to the door handle came off or broke off. replace it.

It is not that hard... all you have to do is when you have the new door handle you have to take the door panel off on the inside of the car and reach through the holes and unscrew the bolts to the handle and the door handle should come off and put the new one on and put the screws back on and put the door panel back on. You will need to remove the inside door panel. Remove the door handle retaining screws. Remove the linkage from the back of the door handle.
