How do I get to the crankshaft of a 1991 camero RS
Jack the motor up and take the motor mount loose on the top right side. Carefully lower the motor down until you see the crankshaft bolt on the bottom. Then take the center bolt off the crankshaft and then the pulley will come off.
It depends on what you're trying to accomplish, more info please.
put the car in drive and crankshaft wont turn anymore. then you can take off the bolt
it is behind the starter of the car you will have to take the starter off
Take the serpentine belt off and then take the crankshaft pulley off and you will need a puller to get the balancer off the crank.
take off your harmonic balancer the answer is behind
Behind the black plastic timing cover of the camshaft , slightly above and right of crankshaft pully on 3.0L V6 ; mine just went out today. Put passenger side on front jackstand, take off R front tire, take of plastic wheelwell liner in front of axelshaft for access. Take off timing cover shroud above, take off belts and next the Crankshaft pully for access. Replace Crankshaft Position Sensor and reverse steps. GOOD Luck
Take the top half of your engine off and there you will see the crank shaft
Take the crankshaft bolt off,big bolt holding the crankshaft to the engine, can be a little difficult pull the crankshaft out and the bolts should be right there,go in through the wheel well, youll have to remove your passenger tire first
Remove the engine. Take the oil pan off and take every bolt out that you see. It will fall right out.
the position off the crankshaft sensor
