If you need to change the whole hub assembly, just take off the wheel, then all the brakes including the calipers. once you get down to the hub, there should just be three bolts [13mm] holding it in from the backside. once you detach the wire harness, just unfasten the three bolts, and it should come right off. It's an easy fix, but a pain to get to.
You need to also remove the big shaft nut. When replacing make sure axle nut 32mm is torqued to spec. [160Nm (118lb ft); hub bolts torque spec: 130Nm (96lb ft) - Montana]
You will need a hub puller (3 point) to separate the hub from drive axle.
Discard old hub and 3 bolts, replace with new.
the same way you would replace any hub assembly, take the wheel off, take off any bolts that connect the hub to the driveshaft and then replace it
how to take off wheel hub on ford 94 F350 dual?
Front: Remove the wheel. Remove the brakes. Take off the Wheel Nut Dust Cover Take the wheel nut off. Pull the wheel hub off. Remove the bearing assembly from the hub and replace, or replace the entire hub(recommended). Replace all the parts and repeat on the other side of the car. Back: Sry... I'm not sure.
Take off the wheel and the brakes. There should be a cap in the center of the hub, take that off. There will be a nut with a cotter pin through it, take out the cotter pin. Unscrew the nut, take out washer. Slide hub off spindle. Knock the back seal out of the hub. Clean the hub, pack bearings and hub with grease. Place new back bearing back into hub, then lightly tap seal into hub. Put the hub onto the spindle. Put in front bearing, washer, nut, cotterpin, and cap. Replace tire.
if its a 2 wheel drive you have to buy a hub assembley. take off the wheel take off brake caliper rotor and the large nut that holds it on and it should tap right off.
you have to take all brakes and rotor off the hub. then you must spin the hub so the access hole is in front of the bolts, and take all 3 bolts off. then you must pull the hub off of the spline.
The wheel bearing is part of the hub assy. it the part that the wheel attaches to. If you take your tire off you can see a round piece with 5 suds, that the hub assy. and the bearing is behind it.
YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE HUB ASSEMBLY OFF AND HAVE A SHOP PRESS THE BEARING,OR REPLACE THE HUB ASSEMBLY FROM A SALVAGE YARD.
Simple, take the wheel off. Take the two bolts holding the caliper off. Take the caliper off. Slide the rotor off. Take the four bolts off in the back of the wheel hub(bearing hub). Slide the old hub off. Repeat in reverse. About 30-60 minutes to do it yourself. You will need a 17mm and 22mm socket. I would recommend using a 1/2 drive. You can also get a torque wrench but I got away without it.
The frontdoes not havea "wheel hub assembly". It is an individual sealed roller bearing that has to be pressed on and off the front spindle. It is a Toyota thing!
Jack the car up on the side the wheel is on, grab the L shaped spanner thing, undo the nuts (4 of them) take the wheel off. Make sure to jam things against the ground wheels so the car doesn't roll. If you have hub-caps, they should just pull off. Cheap ones may break. If the hub-caps have bolts on them, then you have to take the wheel off first. Otherwise you need to take the hub-caps off first.
If this is the hub on the drum, comes off with a 5 lb. hammer.
