Best just to remove the nut and replace it with an new one, or grab a pair of pliers and tighten it that way if you absolutely need to.
No. If the battery post if missing then you will have to buy a new battery. My question to you is how is a battery post missing?
You can buy an adapter to convert a side post to top post or visa versa.
Answer There could be two causes to this problem. One might be that your negative post is loose inside the battery and the second reason could be that your negative cable is loose. If the post is loose there is no way to tighten it. You will have to change your battery. It sounds to me as though either the negative battery connection is bad (take it off clean it & smear with petroleum jelly/vaseline before replacing)
It is as simple as changing the battery cables.
Fit battery in place, bolt it's safety holder bolt, then fit positive connector and tighten , finally fit negative connection and tighten.
Yes u can.
The post with the red cable attached to it. The positive post is slightly larger than the negative post. + & - is normally printed on the top of the battery next to the post.
You can buy and adaptor to connect the top post cables to a side post battery. Or you can simply replace the side post cables with top post cables.
Connect the Positive + battery cable to the positive + battery post first. Then connect the Negative - cable to the negative - battery post.
Positive (Red) to positive post on battery. Negative (Black) to negative post on battery.
There is no standard for locating the positive or negative posts on a battery. You must look fot the " + " symbol on the battery. The positive post is slightly larger than the negative post.
