take a close look at the nut, do u see any plastic poking out of the nut and stud area? If u do, then these are not re-useable and will need to be replaced. Also, u will need a torque wrench and tighten to Daewoo's specification. Good luck

A loose strut. There is a nut at the top of the strut that is sort of difficult to tighten. Get a box wrench for the nut and slip it over the strut shaft. Notice the top of the shaft of the strut - it's not exactly round. It's sort of oval, thus enabling you to hold that with vice grips. Place the vice grips on the shaft. Hold the vice and tighten the nut. Don't over tighten Same thing happened to my car. Hope this helps.
The top of the strut rod should be flattened slightly into a rectangular shape. It should be enough that you can take a crescent wrench and hold the flattened part with it. Use an open end wrench for the nut, putting it on first, then the crescent. Turn them opposite directions to loosen the nut.
You have to take the whole strut assembly off (shock and spring). Then with a spring compressor on the coil spring, take the top nut off the strut shaft and take the spring off. Once the spring is off the whole strut assembly is replaced which will contain a new shock. Then you already have the spring compressed, so you put the old spring on to new strut (shock) put the top back on, release the spring and tighten the nut. You have to have a vise to clamp the strut into to replace the strut body.
If you mean suspension springs... You need raise your car. Remove the wheel. Remove the strut. Make sure that you have strut spring compressor (you can rent one at Autozone). After that compress the spring until you will able freely rotate to top part of the strut. If the spring is broken you can skip compressing. Remove the center nut. Remove the top part of the strut, replace the spring. Inspect rubber parts, replace if you have to. Align the spring. Compress it. Install the top part aligning it properly (there is an arrow showing outside direction). Tighten it properly. Release the spring. Install the strut.
take out back seat and trim pieces
unbolst strut from the vehicle. compress the springs with spring tool. take large nut from top of strut assembly. remove spring from assembly. use tool to unscrew the top of the strut cartridge. slide top off of strut piston. take strut cartridge out and replace with new one. then revers the steps.
dont worry about why, just take another nut with same threads and tighten it on top of the existing nut
remove the 22mm bolt at the top that holds the strut to the car DO NOT REMOVE THE 19MM NUT ON THE STRUT ITSELF UNLESS YOU HAVE USED A SPRING COMPRESSOR TO RELIEVE TENSION OF THE SPRING
Loosen the nut on top. Tighten the screw clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease pressure. Tighten the nut back up. Done deal
STRUTS ARE PRETTY MUCH ALL THE SAME. OPEN THE HOOD AND REMOVE THE NUT FROM THE TOP OF THE STRUT. JACK UP THE CAR AND REMOVE THE TIRE . UNBOLT THE STRUT FROM THE MOUNING BRACKET AND PULL THE STRUT OUT OF THE CAR. NOW BE CAREFULL ON THIS ONE, YOU HAVE TO GO EITHER RENT OUR BARROW A SPRING COMPRESSOR. HOOK THE SPRING COMPRESSOR ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE SPRING AND COMPRESS IT FAR ENOUGH THAT YOU CAN GET THE CAP NUT OFF THE TOP. THEN JUST POP OUT THE STRUT. PUT THE NEW STRUT INTO PLACE , REPLACE AND TIGHTEN THE CAP NUT AND THEN UNTORQUE THE SPRING. PUT BACK INTO CAR THE SAME WAY IT CAME OUT. USE TO BE FOREST CITY AUTO WHEN THEY WERE STILL OPEN WOULD DO THE SPRING COMPRESSION AND REPLACEMENT FOR YOU FOR A SMALL FEE ALL YOU HAD TO DO IS GET THEM OUT OF THE CAR. I DONT KNOW IF ANYONE DOES THAT ANYMORE BUT YOU COULD ASK AROUND. GOOD LUCK!!
Remove two lower strut bolts holding bottom of strut to the spindle. Remove the bolt holding the brake flex hose to the strut Some model years have the outer tie rod attached to the housing, separate the tie rod from the strut if you have to (can't remember on a 1992) Remove the 3 top nuts in the engine compartment ond the whole assembly will come out Put the strut in a spring compressor and compress the spring Undo the top center nut in the center of the upper mount/bearing plate The strut will fall out of the spring. Extend the piston fulley on the new strut and slide it back into the mount/ spring assembly Tighten the top nut in the center of the upper mount (new one comes with new strut) Make sure the spring is in the correct position when you put it back together and reverse the instructions to install. You will need an alignment!! Check the upper mount bearing before reusing
