How do you turn off the air bag light on a 1998 Ford Taurus SE if the bags were not replaced after they deployed?

Take out the bulb???
From my experience, the bulb holder is not easily accessable, then if you do disable it, a alarm goes off when you start the vehicle.
My Grand Cherokee's air bag light came on a few months ago for no reason. I was told to remove the bulb requires taking out the whole dash.
