On '06 and later with Harman Kardon stereo there is a toggle switch on inner fairing to left of ignition switch also an internal fader is on the stereo controls themselves
my radio and cb along with my turn signals do not work on my 1992 ultra classic, where is the fuse/s.
You turn the bolts to the left.
There is a relay to your power antenna that signals the Factory preamp to turn on thus sending power to your rear speakers. If you look in your trunk and the wiring to the power antenna if you short these out your speakers will come on.
You should change your plugs and use lucas oil....
With the key on, turn the radio off and you will see the display on how to set the hours and minutes.
hook the speaker wires up to them and turn the volume up.
If you have rear speakers in the tailgate, remove the cover(s) and the speaker and reach in and turn the mechanism to open
Turn on the radio. Crawl in the bakseat and listen.AnswerThe only hatch back model to have rear speakers in 91 was the Si model. And it was still an option. If your car does have them, they are in the panels ajacent to the cargo cover. Answerthere are no speakers on the back of a 1991 Honda civic hatchback DX
uh, i think it's obvious, the WIRES carry no voltage wouldn't you say?? connect a test light in series between the positive and negative wire and turn on you radio, and turn it up to a level that you clearly hear music in other speakers. if it lights up then the wire is good, which i doubt. what you CAN do is connect 2 wires between the positive and negative tabs of your rear speakers and that should fix your problem
As soon as you turn on the ignition, make sure that the radio is off. Turn the ignition switch back off until the display goes off and turn it back on, then just push the hrs or min button to set the time.
I recomend you turn off the car completely with the key off the ignition. Front speakers can be accesed by pulling off the door panel in most cases and taking off a couple of screws holding the speakers onto the panel. The panel itself might be screwed onto the door using a screw around the opening handle and sometimes more screws towards the bottom. Be careful never to yank any wires as you pull the panels and speakers off the car! Rear speakers can be accessed from the rear seat towards the rear windshield and on some models from the trunk. The speakers are being held again by a couple of screws. Mostly, you cannot install bigger than factory size speakers because the fitment on the doors and the rear trunk area just will not let the larger speakers sit comfortably to where you can put the fastening screws back on. Good luck.
Since the signal is sent pre-mixed into the surround sound receiver as a Dolby Digital stream, you will have to turn down the rear channels at the receiver. All good receivers should have a channel level adjustment control through a menu or on the remote control.
