I think. it would be the knobs on each side of the parking brakes(if they are still there in that year) pull them both up (i think) while the motor is on and you should get warm air to come out. You probably CAN'T turn it on, unless:
the heater boxes, which are sheet metal pieces wrapped around the cast-iron exhaust manifolds, are intact
the control levers on the sides of the heater boxes are there, the butterfly valve they control is there, and the cable running to the lever is there, intact and connected at both ends
the hoses connecting the heater channels to the heater boxes are there and intact
the heater channels don't have any holes in them

and even if all that stuff is right, you STILL don't get much heat out of them!

2003 VW Volkswagen Beetle turn signal light bulb replacement: Purchase the correct replacement turn signal light bulb(s) first, before disassembling the vehicle. See sources and related links below for replacement bulb information. Then consult your owner's manual for the turn signal light bulb replacement procedure. You may want to consider replacing both left and right at the same time in order to keep brightness and color equal (optional).

in my opinion you cannot beat a 60-70s Volkswagen Beetle. they are simple to work on and parts are still readily avaliable. plus they turn heads. everyone loves a beep beep. typically you can pick a nice beetle for around $6,000-8,000 and those engines are pretty much bullet proof

User Avatar

AnswerYeah you can take it to the dealer but if you cant do that right now just do it manually. Take the key, put it in the trunk lock, turn it to the right then to the left and shut it by closing it holding the handle........that will definitely work :)

User Avatar

Open the trunk; unscrew the plastic nut and then the back light assembly can be removed (may require a flat head screw driver to pop it out); unscrew the light and change the bulb.
