Easiest way to do it is to buy a $10 wiring harness kit at a parts store and follow the instructions to connect it to your new stereo. This will save you much headache and possibly keep you from damaging you car's circuitry. Plus, you can do the wiring in the comfort of your house instead of the cold garage.
