If I remember correctly, the filter is the same as the 1200's. Look at the front of the engine, you will see a ribbed casing with a bolt in the center. Also, on the casing there is a boss ( small bump ) which lines up to groves on the engine block. When you remove the casing, oil will come out so use a catch pan, the long bolt stays in the casing. Now you will see the filter. Pull the filter out, then there is a washer, then a spring. Put them back in that order. clean the casing, and with the new filter, there are new o-rings. Pull out the bolt, replace the o-ring, replace the o-ring on the casing, replace the spring, washer, and then filter. Line up the boss with the groves and torque the casing back. Fill the engine with the new oil, and check for leaks. Use 10w40 Honda grade oil.
