The human body cannot synthesize or build proteins on its own. We need to provide sufficient protein to the body through our diet. Some food items that are rich in protein are:

  • Eggs
  • Beef
  • Milk
  • Nuts
  • soy beans etc

The human body makes its own proteins but why humans eat meat is so that they can have the nucleic acids and protein within the cells of the meat. Animals cannot make nucleic acids, they either have to consume them or live with what they have.

Both.

We can not make the building blocks of proteins ourselves, to get these we must eat proteins and break them down into their bits in our intestines. We then use the bits to build our own proteins.
