== == Really depends on the type and what size sticks you are buying it in. You can get a 512 MB stick of most types of ram for about 15-20 dollars, or a 1GB stick for about 40-50. A good website to find the cheapest ram is pricewatch.com.
Make sure you get name brand memory like Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, Geil, Patriot, etc. Stay away from anything "Generic" or "House Brand". Memory isn't a place to skimp, bad memory will make your whole system unstable at best or at worst it'll be uncompatible with your computer
The RAM that is used for a laptop is not the same as the RAM that you would use in a desktop PC. The RAM that is used for a PC is much too big to be used in a laptop, so a laptop has to use a much smaller RAM card which is called SD-RAM.
Yes, a PC can have 100 GB of RAM. 100 GB of RAM can make a PC very fast. However, this can be very expensive. Anyways, only special computers like supercomputers which have the capability to hold 100 GB can have that much RAM. It is mainly for governmental and highly important use. In a few places, if you request 100 GB of RAM, you have to give an important reason for that request. For a normal computer, 1 GB to 24 GB are highly recommended.
If the PC has a good graphics card and fast RAM is will do just fine but most of those cost more.
ram is temporary memory of pc,it is voltile memory. When we shut down our PC then all the data erase from ram. Types of ram: 1)SRAM 2)DRAM
If a PC has no RAM, the computer will not boot. So your answer is no files will run ... on a PC.
increase your pc ram or clean the ram by opening cpu
I think it is time to buy a new PC with higher RAM.
Perhaps you mean why is PC RAM so cheap? In my experience it's Apple's RAM that's the expensive type. This is in part because they control for quality and ensure compatibility, whereas the PC market for memory is large and diverse enough that there is a whole range of quality and compatibility types available, increasing competition and driving down cost.
RAM
Error correcting ram. Expensive but your ram will never go bad
Normally the mainboard/motherboard in a PC is the most expensive thing, mind, you must understand that this means in a standard home PC, which is what I assume you mean. The RAM can be expensive too, and this depends on 2 factors: the speed and the capacity, both get more expensive the higher it gets. Processors (CPUs) can be expensive too, depending on the number of cores in the individual chip, and once again the speed.
You can not convert the RAM that is on the PC to RAM for your graphics card. The only way to get RAM for a graphics card is to buy one that already has RAM on it. The graphics cards that have their own RAM are normally higher end ones that cost about $50-$70 for the cheapest ones.
