they made it all the way to moscow.

they were defeated by the Russian (soviet) army (red army), and also the winter helped

why? kind of a dumb quistion. because they were attackin the Soviet Union and they were moving on their capital. they gathered numbers, over a million troops, and whooped them back to Germany
