DSL is much faster than regular dial-up, however, it is slower than Cable internet. Regardless it is definitely one of the quicker ways to surf the net.
The real difference between dial-up and DSL is the fact that DSL is faster and doesn't hold up the telephone line unlike dial-up.
Cable on the other hand is much faster than DSL and dial-up, using fiber-optic cables, able to pull of tremendous speed without the use of a telephone all completely!
