Get a repair manual from your local auto zone its hard to explain where it is, on my 4.0L Ranger its on the bottom left .
Not that hard, it's located on the back side of the motor. Make sure it's the starter. You can test it with a remote starter. My car has the problem with the ignition, because it started when I hooked up the remote.
It would be much wiser and easier to have your local garage do the job. The 3rd bolt is extremely hard to reach.
nope, the starter should be right at the bottom of the transmission on the driverside.
On the 4.6 L engine the starter is on the passenger side in the back of the engine. It is very hard to get to. There are 3 bolts to take out. I have tried with the car on my ramps, but it is very hard to twist your hand to reach the 3rd bolt. It is a job to do on a hoist. Ford really buried the starter on these engines. The labor cost at a garage is no more than 1 hour, only with a cold engine. The exhaust is right beside the starter. Good luck.
how hard is it to change a shifter bushings in a 1995 ford escort how do you change the sensors in the transmission
hey, you kick it but not to hard that you break it
That wire is from the starter relay and is responsible for engaging the starter when you turn the key. It connects to the starter solenoid before you put the positive lead back on the starter.
It's underneath the engine. If I remember right it's on the drivers side of the engine attached to the flywheel. I remember it took me about 1/2 hr to change it but it was not hard.
Remove - battery cable Raise and support vehicle Remove wiring at top of starter Remove starter mounting bolts Remove starter
Yes it is Depending on how hard your driveing it
