Can the thermostat on a 1995 achieva s 3100 6 cylinder be replaced with out having to remove exhaust header the header seems to be kinda close to the thermostat housing any help you can give would be?

The thermostat is behind the housing. This is true for a 3100 buick engine. But in all cases that I know of it will be close to the end of a radiator hose. Hope this helps.

Drain the water from your 1997 Chevy Monte Carlo cooling system. Remove the water supply hose. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. The thermostat will lift out. Reverse the process to install the new thermostat.
