Not everyone likes the monarchy in the UK but to 'overthrow' them makes no sense since they're more of a ceremonial figurehead, the UK is run by a democratically elected party and its prime minister. The reason why they are still there is because in general the British public does still support them, believe their neutrality is important and useful, believe they're a source of national pride, and support them enough to be confused if a foreigner suggests the British public is unhappy about the situation and desire change.

The Monarchy was removed for a time after the civil war but the political mess that ensued meant that the monarchy had to be reinstated however nowadays they are merely a tourist attraction
