The Syrian civil war is totally different from the US Civil War. Here is the rational for this statement:
A. The objective of the rebel forces in Syria is to replace the central Syrian Government. The objective of the South in the US Civil War was not to replace or overthrow the Federal government, but to leave the Union and establish a new country called the Confederate States of America;
B. I the US Civil War, a new nation, the Confederacy was established. It lasted only 4 years, but it was a new nation. In comparison, the rebels in Syria have been unable to do what the US South did, but it's not their objective, which is to replace the current regime; and
C. In Syria, the "family" of dictators over the past 20 plus years, has indeed been a Dictatorship. In the US Civil War, as angry as some Southerners were, they were part of a "constitutional" Federal Government. The Confederacy also had a constitution similar to the Federal one. At the time of the US Civil War, neither constitution, Union or Confederate outlawed slavery.
Taken as a whole, & except for the fact that a "conflict" is in Syria and was in the USA in 1861, no real comparison can be made. Surely however, it can be seen that the US Civil War is vastly different from the one in Syria.
One last note here (although many more differences can be noted ) the US Civil War, and if I can be allowed some leeway on this next sentence:
The US Civil War was between 2 separate governments and the conflicts involved huge armies.
In the US Civil War, slavery was an issue. In Syria, there are no slaves, however, in a dictatorship, the people have no true chances to "vote" a dictator out of power.
In the US Civil War, Lincoln was re-elected, however there were Union candidates running against Lincoln in the 1864 elections.
In order to win the Syrian Civil War, the Free Syrian Army would need training (likely from the US), a unified organizational structure, foreign monetary assistance, and military assistance from the US-led Coalition to bomb Islamic State and the Assad Regime targets in advance of the FSA advance.
Syria is currently in the midst of a civil war. The Syrian Government is opposing a variety of independent Rebel groups. Some of the Rebels are aligned with Al-Qaeda and some are pro-democratic. If the United States begins any strike on Syria (limited or not) it will be the first foreign opponent in the Syrian Civil War (aside from Rebel groups that have cross-border support with Iraq).
It is difficult to pinpoint the first Syrian to arrive in Trinidad as they arrived in boatloads by families. It is better to suggest the first Syrian families to arrive which would be the Aboud's, Abraham's, Chamely's, Elias's, Gabriel's, Galy's, Habib's, Hadeed's, Laquis's, Matouk's and Sabga's.
The first major battle of the American Civil War was the First Battle of Bull Run or the First Battle of Manasas (they are the same battle but with a different name)
yes they are.
The best hamsters irecommend are the Syrian hamster, the teddy bear hamsters, or the winter white hamsters. the Syrian hamster is a large hamster usually growing 4 to 5 inches. They are great first hamsters. the teddy hamsters are often furry and similar to the Syrian but grow to 3 to 5 inches. The winter white hamsters and playful fun and easygoing and grow 3 to 5 inches.
Try a Syrian hamster. This type of hamster is the biggest and hard to lose. They are very friendly. They also come in different fur patterns. Syrian types are: Panda bear teddy bear golden fancy longhair shorthair
There was no real "first battle" of the Civil war because it started in different states after different battles. For example, the first official shot fired was at Fort Sumter when the confederates attacked unprepared and expecting union soldiers. The first big battle of the Civil War was the first battle of Bull Run/Manassas.
The first one. The second is too small for a syrian.
Syrian (golden) hamsters came from Syria, in the Middle East, where it lives in burrows in the desert. Syrian hamsters were first bred and studied by zoologists in the 1930s, and since then, these little furry rodents have become one of the worlds most popular pets.MJC
