you can never know...some people can have them for a week some can have for months (like me still) and some can have them for years and or throughout their whole lifetime..if you want to get rid of it then the best way is to go see a doctor!! seriously!! i just went today!! and the doc told me to not touch my lips/skin too much or else they'll turn black! my doc let me see some pix and they werent pretty!!
