my 2004 is almost 70k strong!
it took me about 6 hrs.
It can be done in an 8 hour day. It depends on what year, make, model, and engine.
As long as the engine is cold you can remove the radiator cap DO NOT open it just after you have been driving even for a short distance, open it only when engine has been stopped long enough that coolant is air temperature (Like first thing in the morning before you have driven anywhere)
Dust and debris were enter the engine causing engine wear. If you don't care if the engine will last very long go ahead and remove the air filter.
no as long as u have a hoist u can go at it from the underside
Timing chains will normally last the life of the engine and are replaced during a complete engine rebuild.
Remove hood remove radiator, remove a/c compressor, power steer pump do not dis connect a/c or PS hoses disconnect from engine, remove starter, remove motor mount bolts 2 long ones, disconnect wiring harness from engine and transmission, remove drive shaft from transmission. remove bolt from end of transmission, mount, remove fuel line, oil cooler lines, transmission lines if it's automatic, disconnect exhaust manifolds, ground strap, vacuum lines, throttle, cruise control cables, hook up your chain to engine & to hoist & remove slowly.
its behind the glove box, i think its a 10 mil but your gunna need a long exstention.
u need to support the engine with a cherry picker and then remove the long motor mount bolts. after u have done that remove the engine mount brackets from the engine. then lower the engine down on to the front axle. this will give u plenty of room to reach over the head and remove the bell housing bolts. there are usually only two not three and sometimes they require a torx socket.
Anytime as long as you are adding it to the reservoir. Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot.
remove the top bolt it is easy to see, next there are two long bolts going through the compressor at the bottom of the engine left front they can be seen from under the van! this was hard for me to find!
