should be right above the catalytic converter, on the exhaust manifold
Start at the exhaust manifold and follow the exhaust from the manifold rearward. You will find the O2 sensors. It may be mounted right on the manifold or somewhere on the exhaust pipe. Looks like a spark plug base with a single wire attached. Unhook the wire and use a boxed end wrench to unscrew & remove/replace the sensor.
The front exhaust manifold is right in front by the spark plugs. The rear manifold is behind the engine by the spark plugs.
if you can replace it yourself but do it right look on the web for info vids
The upstream o/2 sensor is located in the exhaust system between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter. Some vehicles will have 2 upstream sensors (i.e. 1999 Chevy astro 4.3l engine has sensor for left exhaust manifold and another for right exhaust manifold). I am trying to find out for sure if you have to replace both when one goes bad. Bosch says both must be replaced!!!??? Oh yeah it(they)are easy enough to replace if you can see it (them).
Os sensors are always in the exhaust. Look either in the exhaust manifold or right after the exhaust manifold. HTH
It is located on the exhaust pipe right where the exhaust manifold connects to the exhaust pipe. It is easy to replace and you can rent the tool from most auto parts stores.
i have a 1998 ford Triton f 150 how do i remove the exhaust manifold right side
That depends on the engine, but they should all be either on the exhaust manifold collector or down the exhaust pipe a bit right after the exhaust manifold.
I found mine on an older Toyota diesel 4 cylinder at the top of the block right before it mates with the head. It's right under the exhaust manifold. Not sure how easy it is to see with it on though.
It is in the exhaust pipe right after the exhaust manifold.
O2 sensors measure the amount of O2 in the exhaust so they are usually right after the exhaust manifold(s). I do not know Nissans but usually they will screw out. HTH
