As long as the packaging is intact and it has been stored under good conditions, it will be safe for quite a while. One food bank suggests this type of product will be good up to 3 years beyond the package date. Though, you should expect the quality of the broth to deteriorate over time.
Yes, although it may be less flavorful then if made with fresh meat. It still tastes better then canned broth though.
After you let your chicken and broth boil in the crock pot or stove for an approx an hour and you are ready to put the last ingredient in which is the dumplings you need to bring the temperature down from a boil. The boiling water or broth keeps the dumplings moving thus melting the dumplings. Putting it on warm or turning it off will still cook the dumplings because the temperature is still hot enough
Yes you can but be sure you cook the chicken (either whole or portions) until it's thoroughly cooked and not still partly raw showing pink or red flesh near the bone. Actually cooking a whole chicken by boiling in broth is not a very pleasant result. I presume you mean boiling it? Roasting it in broth seems a bit pointless too. You may as well boil some chicken wings, or drumsticks in water if you just want broth. Roasted chicken in the oven is best done dry and the scrapings of the fat that comes out of it can be used to make a gravy. All the salmonella dangers are removed once the chicken has cooked up to boiling point all the way through so the broth would be usable - but I wouldn't let it cool and drink/eat it cold, it's always best to reheat just to be sure no bacteria are lurking. I hope that's useful. Dartmoor Creeper
Yes, you can. I assume you wish to make a chicken broth using leftover chicken? Search the internet for leftover chicken broth, and choose a recipe. Basically, it entails boiling up the carcase, removing the carcass after 30 minutes. Then adding to the pan, chopped mixed vegetables, leftover chicken pieces, herbs, chicken stock, salt and black pepper to taste. I would also add pearl barley that has been soaked in cold water overnight. Simmer gentle to thicken.Once the chicken is cooked, recooking it may not get much more flavor out of it for a broth. There are two ways to cook chicken in water plus any other things you wish to put in to add flavor. such as vegetables and seasoning. You can put chicken into cold water, turn up the heat and cook/boil it until its done. The flavor from the chicken goes into the water making a tasty soup with little or no flavor left in the chicken. The chicken still has nutritional value and you can add flavor by serving it cooked, fried, baked or broiled with other vegetables and seasoning. The other way is to boil the water and then add the chicken. This will blanch the chicken sealing in the flavor and nutrients. Continues cooking of the chicken will leave the cooked chicken full of its original flavor but the liquid may not have much flavor.
yes a broth is a type of soup.like Top Ramon, for example the watery part is broth but they still call it soup.i like broth and soup but i only like one thing.

Although they said on a tv game show that TV dinners are no longer being made this information is false. Swanson tv dinners are still made to this day. Incorrect: No, just watched it on 101 ways to leave a game show!
OK well lts see the broth can consists of over 320 grams of sodium soup are salty like chicken noodle soup very high in sodium. when the noodle have sit in the broth for a long time the noodles began to adsorb the sodium. also think of the broth is still on the spoon. then you should consider that so my beast estimate would be around 256-200
Yes, you do. Boil the chicken until it is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear when pierced with a fork. Remove the meat from the liquid and allow to cool. Once cool, pull the meat off the bones and add to the soup. You can use the liquid it was cooked in, (the broth) as the liquid for the soup.
Only baby food has a EXPIRATION date. Other foods have Best By, Use by or other such words. That means that under USUAL storage conditions the food will still be good. The food does not turn "bad" at midnight of the date on the carton. Once opened it should be resealed and kept below 40 Degrees F. It should be good for 3-4 days. It can even be frozen. Frozen stock lasts 4-6 months.
yes unless the chicken was precooked
