The fastest the better... people usually say to leave it out for a few hours because it would warm up the fridge too much but if you don't have an old fridge(20years) you will be alright, just wont be energy efficient. The longer you leave it out the more bacterias their is gonna be. At worse leave it out for an hour or two max. When put in the fridge put some of your stuff on the bottom so it stays cooler while the turkey would be on top where the heat goes.
