That actually depends on the individuals system, and whether or not that person has a morphine addiction or not?
Suboxone subligual tablets have a blocker for narcotics in them. If you have take suboxone on top of morphine I have seen many people have no reaction at all!
On the other hand, if you take suboxone before taking morphine it will in fact block the morphine's effectiveness.
Suboxone goes to the opiate receptors in the brain, and fills them. Therefore when the morphine goes to the head there are no receptors for the narcotic to plug into.
Suboxone was researched at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore as well as at John Hopkins Bayview Hospital previously called Francis Scott Key Hospital and previous to that it was City Hospital.

Suboxone works as a narcotic antagonist and for a person on methadone, suboxone will actually sap the body of the methadone and send the person into withdrawel from their methadone habit rather quickly!
Suboxone is also effective in blocking heroin which is also a by product of morphine.
amendment: Suboxone can also send some addicts into withdrawel if taken after their daily dosing of morphine or any other opiate that I am privvy to, with the possible exceptions being synthetic or man made narcotics (which are not true opiates), as opposed to opiates which are made from the processing of the poppy plant grown in Afganistan

You will have to wait at least 36 hours, but probably more like 48 to 72 hours, until the Suboxone is out of your system, before you can feel the effects of the morphine. If you are taking it for pain, then yes, it should still work as a painkiller, even though it won't get you high.
