Every woman is different when it comes to regular periods after discontinuing Birth Control. Some women start back regularly within a month and others can take years to become regular again.
Depo-Provera can take up to 10 months to fully wear off, with most women regaining fertility within 6-12 months after stopping the injections. Menstruation typically returns within 3-10 months after discontinuing Depo-Provera, but this can vary greatly among individuals.
They say infacr it takes a year or more for Depo Provera to be completly resolved from your body. There has been instances where the Depo will build into body fat.
Hormonal birth control stops the menstrual cycle all together - no ovulation means no menstruation - thus on Depo it's normal not to experience menstruation at all, or people can experience irregular bleeds due to the bodies response to the synthetic hormones. After discontinuation of Depo it takes a long time for menstrual cycles to return, longer again for them to regulate. Thus a person stopping Depo may experience irregular bleeds, not all will be menstruation (following from ovulation) but instead will be a result of hormonal imbalance.
There are several things that can cause an irregular cycle while on depo. One is antibiotics, as they can cause a decrease in the strength of most forms of birth control. Most antibiotics will warn you about this on their information insert. Another probability is a high level of stress, temporary or long-term, has caused your body to cycle while on depo. If niether of these sound like the cause, I would recommend seeing your doctor or OB/GYN, because STDs can also cause you to cycle while on depo. Good luck. :)
It can take a long time to get your period again or to get pregnant. It took me 18months before my cycle started again.
Antibiotics don't have any effect on Depo.
I was also on depo. And they say it can take up to 12 to 18 months to get your cycle back and normal. It was 6 months, and I didn't have a period after, since i was trying to get pregnant, my doc gave me provera hormone pill to regulate my cycle and start ovulating. If you were on depo for a long time and didn't have a period during that time, you may need a hormone pill to jump start things down there and get regulated again. I also started having pregnancy symptoms, before i got my period back, lower back and hip pain, nausea, couldn't sleep, very sore breasts and nipples, they told me my body was going through withdrawl of the depo. It also happened to my friend.
no, adderall has zero effects on hormones, and does not interact with depo provera.
I've heard it can take 18-24 months for Depo to be completely out of your system.
If you're referring to Depo Provera, it lasts 3 months. I don't know if there is another injectable birth control, but that is how long Depo lasts.
There is no typical time that it takes to start menstruating after stopping the Depo shot. While some women will bleed within a week or so, it can take others months before their menstrual cycle resumes.
The birth control pill does not change how long depo provera stays in your system, and doesn't get it out of your system faster.
