Barack Obama had no biological brothers or sisters. His father Barack Sr. abandoned him and his mother, and Barack was an only child at that time. After that, his mother remarried, and had one child, a daughter Maya, with her new husband. Thus, Barack has one step-sister. There are many reports that say he has as many as seven other step-brothers and sisters, since his biological father had relationships with other women; but it is not clear if Barack has met any of these siblings, most of whom live in countries other than the United States.
