you would have to get a 10 gallon tank for 1 goldfish!
you would need a 20 gallon tank for 2 goldfish.
Also goldfish don't go well together there just being stored at the store they take the fish out right when they start to be aggressive.

There are no goldfish that should ever be placed in a tank smaller than the sizes mentioned. Your best option for your 2 gallon tank would be a betta.

∙ 14y agoNone. Believe it or not goldfish can get quite large. There are gold fish that have been known to get up to 13 inches long. I had a gold fish who was about 8 inches long. Although if you get a very small one it can live in the 2G tank for a while but you'll have to get a bigger tank. You'd be better off with a Betta Fish. Or go to a pet store and tell them the size of your tank how much you know about keeping fish and ask them what fish they would recommend.
