I have experience going to school in Oklahoma for 11 years and Texas as a Senior for one year. You cannot miss anymore than 10 days per semester, in any state, without a special form excusing you for special reasons such medical reasons or in my experience in my Junior year, I missed roughly 30 days due to me taking the death of my absolute best friend March 25th, 2004 EXTREMELY rough and was drinking 6 days a week and one day to work for beer money. My Superintendent filed a OSSAA Form 4140 with OSSAA (I believe attendance requirements are the same for all states as a Diploma, from an accredited high school, is accepted at all colleges across the United States. It may even be federally regulated and not regulated by state for the above reason regarding the Diploma and Colleges
In Pennsylvania, this is the same. 10 days of absences per semester. Anymore than that and they must be excused.
