I believe the number is between 280 - 300 days of sunshine per year. That answer is not researched, but recalled from some past conversation on the subject. You can check Weather Underground for historical weather data on SLC. The easiest part about SLC weather is that they don't really have too many overcast days.... so if there is no precipitation on the charts, it is likely sunny (vs. overcast and not raining).

Due to it is location in the Great Basin/desert southwest, there are about 300 days of sunshine in Salt Lake City.
