I bought a 1965 Ford Falcon station wagon in California with about a reported 227,000 miles from the mechanic I got it from, a 289 c.i. engine with caked on Mojave Desert sand. Since I was in the military at the time and married, we went everywhere she wanted on my days off. My only concern was the points, plugs, filters, plug wires, hoses, tires and other minor needs. At the end of my hitch I took it home with family 1,320 miles east. When the engine finally expired on the second trip to California after the service time, my "autopsy" discovered a busted timing chain. I retired her with 342,000 miles after 31 months of ownership. I could have fixed the engine but since I opened her up and removed the outer "insulating" sand cover, the leaks began.
td5 engine if serviced regular how many miles should it do
450,000 miles on the original engine.
Up to 300,000 miles!
The 2.5 liter V6 engine ( 60,000 miles ) The 4 cylinder engine ( 100,000 miles )
a million miles
It is driving cycles not miles. It varies from manufacture to manufacture.
As with any engine, it depends very much on how you drive the vehicle.
I have a goped gsr40 all modded out with a bigger engine 49 cc and I want to know how many miles these engines usually last
I have a friend with 170,000 miles and he still drives it daily, I have another friend replacing his engine at 50,000 miles.
100,000 miles on 1.7 dti or cdti engine
Depends on the engine
As many miles as the efficiency of your engine allows.
