Red light means 3 gallons or less. You should be able to go at least 45-60 miles. I'm being conservative here. I'm also assuming the car is operating normally.
What is wrong with it?
The 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue gets an estimated 19 mpg in the city. The vehicle gets an estimated 30 mpg highway mileage.
every 30,000 miles. to be safe.
The Oldsmobile Intrigue does not have a timing belt. It uses gears. For cars that do have a timing belt, about 60,000 miles. But remember than some engines don't use one.
City= 19 Highway= 30 Observed= 22
Apparently it is normal and would make perfect sense. Another contributer on this site stated that the 3.5-liter engine uses about a quart of oil every 1,000 miles. It could be your oil sensor is very sensitive and illuminating to inform you when it only gets a quart low.
Probably around 25 miles, but I would not risk it. Running a tank this low is a terrible idea. You can easily pick up trash in the bottom of the tank and clog the fuel filter or injectors. Fill up when you get to 1/4 tank, and then you want have to know the answer.
Answer50 miles are left when the fuel light comes on in a Dodge Stratus.
it will have app. 2 1/2 gallons so depending on how well you've maintained the engine, 35 to 40 miles. 35 to 45 miles depending on how well you've maintained the engine
i`ve had roughly about 50 miles out of mine from when light comes on but dont let it go that far
Mine gets about 16 / 22 (3.5L engine) but it's also got 115k miles on it and a bad wheel bearing. I have been getting between 25 and 27 mpg, mostly highway driving.
15 miles.
