Depends on how fast you are running and your metabolism rate. For me, I run about six to eight miles every day and i have a high metabolism and so i can eat a LOT and not gain any weight at all. This prolly does not help at all, but really, to lose weight you would have to run and then not eat, but i WOULD NOT recommend that!! Start out at one mile and then work your way up to whatever n# of miles you want to accomplish. You will see the fat wearing off soon. : )
well If you weight 150 pounds you can burn about 80 calories walking 1 mile. So you would have to walk 43.75 miles to lose one pound!
Geez just eat sensibly and exercise and walk 3 miles a day, drink plenty of water and skip eating at fast food places. The most important thing is to get off your duff and move!!! Turn the TV off, Turn on music, Clean the house, Go walking, dance, jump up and down! Do something. Sitting in front of the TV saying I wish I was thin isn't going to work! OH and the computer is another time consumer when you could be burning more calories out side Summers coming and it will be here soon
A half an hour fast paced or 1 hour slow paced, 2-3 times a week, with other forms of exercise, for example, if you don't want to go to the gym you could try sit-ups an push-ups, or running up an down the stairs, along with a calorie controlled diet...try between 30 minutes and 1 hour of exercise a day. If you're a female, a great exercise for breast firmness and lift is to put both hands on something waist height, and do push-ups on it, it really tones and helps them look great.
It would depend what you're doing to them...
well, since you have to burn 3000 calories to lose 1 lb of fat, you have to calculate how many calories you burn per mile. On average, it is around 150 calories.

The number of miles a person must run to lose 35 pounds in 5 weeks depends a lot on the size of the person and the speed at which you run. Running at the fairly moderate pace of 5 MPH, a person who weighs 165 pounds will burn about 126 calories. You need to burn 3500 calories to lose one pound. This means that you'd need to run almost 28 miles in 5 weeks to lose one pound, and 35 times that, or about 972 miles, to lose 25 pounds. However, running will increase your overall metabolism so you won't actually need this many miles, and if you cut some calories out of your diet you will lose weight faster.
