Four members of the Tudor family took the throne. They were Henry VIII (1509-1547), Edward VI (1547-1553), Mary (1553-1558), and Elizabeth (1558-1693). After Elizabeth's reign, the Stuarts gained control of the throne.
because of his Welsh ancestry. His ancestor, Owen Tudor, a Welsh land owner assisted in returning the throne of England from the Yorks (Edward IV)in the 1400's, to the Lancasters, Henry VI. The Tudors eventually took the throne, so Henry Tudor was of \Welsh descent, therefore a Welsh hero
Henry 111 was a Plantagenate not a Tudor. He was the son of John, and thus the great- grandson of Geoffrey of Anjou. The first Tudor king was Henry V11, a descendent of Katherine of France (widow of Henry V) and Owen Tudor on his father's side, and of John of Gaunt and his mistress Katheryn Swynford, on his mother's.
Henry Tudor Thought it was a great chance for him to try and take the throne, as Richard III had just taken the throne over from Edward IV, who was 12, so Henry Tudor rushed in and took Richard by surprise. By The way I'm 12, Yr8 and I'm learning about this. :)
Not Tudor - Hanoverian. It was George III.
George III took the throne on 25 October 1760.
No he died when his father HenryVII was on the throne but died so the claim to the throne went to his younger brother- the future HenryVIII

Henry Tudor, who took the throne of England as Henry VII.
After the Tudor era (when Queen Elizabeth I passed away), King James the 6th or something like that came and took the throne, thus marking the birth of the stuarts.

Queen Mary I of England (Mary Tudor) reigned as Queen of England for five years and approximately 4 months before her death. Elizabeth took the throne after Mary's death.
Juliane
Lady Jane Grey wasn't a Tudor monarch because she only reigned for nine days then after that Mary I took the throne she had a nick name it was bloody Mary because she chopped off so many people heads.
His father died before he could ascend to the throne. So, when King George's grandfather died, he became king.

This question is meaningless. What is the "throne"? Where did this "throne"-taking occur?
