Advantage is labeled by the manufacturer for cats and kittens 7 weeks and older. Under direction of a veterinarian, you can often use it on kittens 4 weeks and older. Fleas are extremely dangerous to kittens, and cause tapeworms, anemia, and other health problems.

Can you worm your kitten at 2 weeks?

That would depend on the drug used, but it's typically not recommended to deworm kittens until about 3 weeks of age due to the lifecycle of the parasites that should be targetted in a kitten that young (roundworms) and the drugs that can be safely used in kittens. There are of course other parasites that can cause issues in kittens under 3 weeks of age, but you cannot purchase over-the-counter medications for them nor can you diagnose them simply by looking at feces for worms.

How long do it take to be able to giv away kittens?

Most vets reccommend waiting until the kittens are two or three months old. Be sure that you have been playing with the kitten and petting it and getting it used to people, because if you don't, it will not be a good pet.

How much nipples does a male cat have?

Usually the queen will have about 6 nipples ready when she has her kittens. 4 to 6 kittens are the average litter. Momma cats are for the most part very good mothers. Make sure she has plenty of food, preferably the kitten formula for the protein and vitamins needed for the kittens. Whatever food is left after the kittens are weaned can be used by the kittens. Good luck,

What age are kittens litter trained?

They say if the mother cat doesn't show them how, that one needs to show the kittens how to use a litter box. Mine didn't show hers and at 6 weeks I took each one and sat them in the litter box and took their front paws and showed them how to scratch in the litter and all it took was that one time and they all used the litter box then.

It would depend on how far apart the litters were born. If they were born fairly close together, it might be okay. Otherwise, no. The younger kittens could not handle the roughhousing the older kittens are used to.

Why do kittens suckle?

i know this cause i was just fostering 4 kittens. kittens suckle because they are used to suckling to get their mom's milk. so to stop suckling you have to get it used to drinking in a low cup like cats or get a syringe. if u do get a syringe give it to the kitten when he/she starts.

Why do cat eat kittens?

They only eat their kittens if there has been a dead kitten around so it will taste their blood and get used to it, it then becomes a habit.
